You may be eligible to apply for naturalization if you meet all of the following:
📌 Basic Requirements:
- 🟢 You’ve had a green card (lawful permanent resident) for at least 5 years
(or 3 years if married to a U.S. citizen) - 📍 You’ve lived in the U.S. for 30 months out of the last 5 years
- 💬 You can speak, read, and write basic English

📄 What You’ll Need
Before you apply, gather the following:
✅ Green Card (Permanent Resident Card)
✅ Driver’s License or State ID
✅ Travel history (past 5 years)
✅ Addresses & employers (last 5 years)
✅ Marriage/divorce documents (if applicable)
✅ Fee payment ($760) or Fee Waiver (Form I-912)
✅ Two passport-style photos (if filing on paper)
📝 Step-by-Step Process
1️⃣ Complete Form N-400
This is your official Application for Naturalization.

- Online at https://my.uscis.gov
- By mail (paper version with attachments)

2️⃣ Attend Biometrics Appointment
USCIS will send you a date and location for fingerprinting and a background check.
Bring:
- Appointment notice
- Green card
- Valid photo ID
3️⃣ Prepare for the Interview & Tests
You’ll be scheduled for a naturalization interview that includes:
🗣️ English test: Basic speaking, reading, and writing

4️⃣ Go to Your Interview
Meet with a USCIS officer who will:
